I'm new with the iPhone, and I need to know how to go back to a previous screen or different application when there are no arrows to click on

To leave an application, you click the home button which is at the bottom of the phone.

All applications written for iOS must provided a way to change screens if they do more than one. This is usually accomplished by a back arrow on the top left of the screen.

To see a list of applications you have recently interacted with, you can double click the home button.

Thanks for the tip, I thought it was like the Droid by just sliding your fingers side to side
