Autobots roll out! Weeks after its initial soft launch in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Finland September 25, Rovio Mobile has just globally released Angry Birds Transformers on the App Store. The game is a new take with Angry Birds' characters and is available for iPhone and iPad.

The game focuses on the Autobirds, a take on Autobots, fighting with the Deceptihogs to save Piggy Island. Throughout Angry Birds Transformers, players will drive cars, trucks, tanks and even fly planes against the evil pigs. Players can also collect a roster of heroes and villains, upgrade weapons and abilities, as well as tag team with a friend.

  • Collect: Unlock a roster of heroes (and villains) with unique attacks and abilities.
  • Destroy: Leave the slingshot at home – this time you have some serious firepower
  • Vehicles: Oh, yes! Car, truck, tank or plane – transform to dodge falling hazards.
  • Upgrades Get stronger weapons and new abilities for every Transformer.
  • Tag team: Borrow a friend’s character to unleash a devastating two-bot assault.
  • Telepods:: Scan ‘em to unlock, revive or boost your bots!
Angry Birds Transformers is a freemium release, means that there are in-app purchases involved, although not necessary to play the game. The gave comes as a 94.5 megabyte standalone download, which shouldn't be a problem for higher capacity iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models (seriously I'm not even deleting apps anymore) and can be found in the App Store.
