Wondered if you could put a "ringtone" notification on the i4phone for incoming texts/emails.

Yes i think that's what i mean,for incoming text messages / emails.

You can't officially it has to be done through jailbreak upload with ssh or download on cydia, not sure why apple care but maybe they will eventually

I only seen this feature on a Jail Broken Iphone...

There's a sick program called RingToneExpressions that lets you make ring tones and the sound quality is top notch...
