Remembering different default email addresses?

I'm a recent convert to the iphone from Blackberry. The BB OS, like iOS, allowed multiple email accounts to be included into one email app. I used to be able set a default email address on the BB. In addition, when I used a particular email address to send email to a specific individual, the BB OS would remember that setting. For instance, the overall default email address that was set was my work email address, but I could teach the BB to use my personal email address when I emailed friends or family and my work email address when emailing anyone else.

Is there anyway to do this on the iphone? I am aware of the global setting that allows me to select my default email address, but I want to know if I can tweak it to adjust depending on who I am emailing.

You can choose your "from" address on each email. Just touch your default email address when addressing for other options on an option wheel.
