which carriers - sprint, verizon or At&t iphone 5 can use in china/hong kong, does any one know for sure, thanks a lot !:phone:

Well... what wireless provider are you wishing to use it on in China/Hong Kong? There's only one CDMA iPhone 5 version... but two GSM versions.

Opposite. There is one GSM version(AT&T) and two CDMA versions(Verizon and Sprint) There'll be a fourth version once they start selling factory unlocked 5's.

Hardware wise, they're all exactly the same. I believe you can get any version unlocked by the carrier for use outside of the US. The safest option is a factory unlocked 5. But, they might not be released for a while.

*CDMA model A1429*: CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1900, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 13, 25)

I don't know... that looks a lot like one GSM & two CDMA versions to me.

i am calling hong kong to see if they are using GSM or CDMA version ? as i don't want to buy and can't use oversea ! last time for the iphone 4s, the sprint version is unlocked even they said it was locked !

I thought we were discussing iPhones available in the US. One of those(A1429 I think) is the international version. Verizon and Sprint use different iPhones. Hardware wise they're the same, but they're locked to their respective networks. You can't activate the Sprint iPhone on Verizon and vice versa. Verizon and Sprint are CDMA.
