I have a i phone 3gs with sims card still in it just disconnected phone about 3 months ago has version 4.0.1 model mb718ll want to jailbreak it does it need to be unlock to? and what do i use to jailbreak the version the carrier use to be att thanks

if you are using a diff. carrier than att, then yes you need to unlock, otherwise no unlock, google google google, is your friend my friend.
