Hi
I live in Costa Rica and own a Iphone 3GS jailbroken. It works fine with local carrier here. My questions is, I will be visiting the US next month and want to find a prepaid SIM card or any information or advice how I can use my Iphone there, My carrier here ICE claims they do not have SIM cards for US travel.
Thanks for any help

Phil

Well for prepaid service Straight Talk is the way to go. Especially for a temperarry thing.

You can buy a SIM for $15. I think you would have to order from the website tho.

And to use the SIM you would have to spend $45 on plan.

You can simply buy a Straight Talk $45 card when you but the SIM.

It's $45 a month with unlimited everything and 3GB of data I think. (don't quote me on the data..but I know they give you a decent amount).

Since your jailbroken it will be very easy to setup.

The phone works with text and calls literally instantly. Like that second you put the SIM in you can make calls and send txt.

Stright Talk comes with instructions to get data working.

MMS will not work until you install TetherMe from Cydia and then you can add the APN settings to get MMS working.

The process is very simple and easy.
