Please help!

Every time I leave my phone on the charge for an extended about of time it tells me I need to back my phone up. I tried to back it up but it always tells me incomplete backup. What are the steps to the backup and should/how do I erase the incomplete backup?

DFU restore ur phone, and reinstall itunes
