I'm bamboozled. Does anyone know how to remove the photo library and still keep the two folders?

Plug-in your USB cable.

Wait for iTunes software to open automatically by itself.

Click on your device.

Now, click on the “Photos” tab.

Check the selected Photo folder on your computer.

Open the sync photo directory on your computer(if you have forgotten, just click “Choose Folder” and it will prompt you to the location). Delete the custom made photo folder on your computer(don’t remove “iPhone/iPod Photo Cache” folder).

Click on “Apply” button at the bottom right corner to start syncing your iPhone.
All the deleted photo albums on your computer just now, are removed from your iPhone.

Hope this helps!

I want to keep the the folders my kiddies and my portraits but I dont like how they are combined in the photos library

Oh the photo library album is just an album that combines all your synced album photos! It doesn't take up extra memory.

I dont think you can remove this album. It seems like it'd be annoying (I only have the camera roll). Idk why they don't have an option to remove the photo library :S?

Ok i just discovered you can remove the album "photo library" by combining all your custom albums into one. Which defeats the purpose. :(

Do they make it permanent because it's a default "placeholder" for the sdk? I dunno but if I have any issues with Apple it would be the lack of choices sometimes... But then again maybe that's why their stuff works!?
