I recently switched from a BlackBerry to iPhone, and one of the features I miss from the BlackBerry was the ability to have a passcode lock in any time interval but also the ability to activate it on-demand at any time. I searched all over and could not find an app for this (if there is, please let me know) but I found a solution that works for me. The glitch with the iOS 5 "Newsstand" that allows you to place it in a folder (video below) also has the unexpected benefit of momentarily crashing the iPhone, bringing up the passcode lock screen. This solution isn't for those who actually use the Newsstand, but I prefer it over shutting off the device or changing the passcode lock setting to "immediately", which take more time.
