If your holding the power button and the home button together with IOS6 you don't get the slide to power off anymore.
This is correct. When an iDevice is running 6.0 or higher the "slide to power off" doesn't come up during a Hard Reset. If you'd like to just turn your iDevice off... just hold the power button on top.
Not sure if the "buttons" part was intentional or not, since there's only 1 button really.
I have collected a replacement phone today and restored via iTunes.
Only problem, I can't switch it off. If I hold the usual --> buttons <--, it reboots as the Off slide does not appear.
And they also stated "reboots..." which leads me to believe they're doing a Hard Reset. Which, in turn, requires the use of... --> buttons <-- .Buttons.
