This week we uncover a new rumor connected to the release of the upcoming iPhone 5S. The already notorious website Nowhereelse.fr has published a bunch of photos showcasing a change that might come about with the next gen iPhone – the camera and LED flash modules are going to be separated.

In the pics one can notice a standalone camera attached to a ribbon, which is of course a change compared to the current iPhone 5 camera, where the LED flash is connected to the camera via its own ribbon.

Previously this week we have seen the same component emerging courtesy of some obscure Chinese supplier. The only caveat is that the part was said to be belonging to the cheaper iPhone and not the iPhone 5S. Or maybe both phones are going to sport it?

Past rumors indicated that the next generation iPhone will probably feature another innovation in the camera department – dual LED flash, the parts being placed somewhere on the right of the lens. However, the leaked pictures provided by the French site don’t show many details, but according to what has been circulated around the web, the iPhone 5 will sport a 12-megapixel camera.

Apple will have improved its shooting capabilities of course – allowing for dynamic range images and higher quality nocturnal photographs. That’s indeed an upgrade from the 8-megapixel camera we can see today on the iPhone 5. With the mention that the current camera was imported from the previous iPhone 4S model without any modification.
