What is the directory for photos on the iphone and where hsitory is storn?

Photos are stored in /var/mobile/Media/DCIM (could have a number of folders titled 101Apple,102Apple, etc. within that DCIM folder). Note this is not the stock photos that come with the iPhone (the wallpaper ones).

Oh, and a mild warning: Never delete photos out of those [###]Apple folders as it can make your Camera app unstable...

I don't know what you mean by "history." Could you expand that one a bit? As in, history for what...?
