Gameloft announced today the release of N.O.V.A. 2 for iPhone, the long-awaited sequel to what many consider to be one of the best first-person Sci-Fi shooters ever to appear on the iPhone. With the first game in the series already being such a favourite with FPS fans, Gameloft had a lot to live up to when making N.O.V.A. 2, but they seem to have put in a colossal effort to make the sequel even better than the original. N.O.V.A. 2 throws you immediately back into the action, some six years after the events depicted in the first game, with humanity now embroiled in a bloody civil war fought on one side by the central government of the Terran Orbitals and the self-appointed Human-Alien Alliance – a new organisation with mysterious origins and a shady agenda. Kal Wardin is retired, having left active service in N.O.V.A years ago, and he now lives peacefully among the colonists of the desert planet Scorpius. At least he was living peacefully… You'll have to buy the game to find out the rest!
