Just jotting down some personal thoughts here.

The Series 11 is perhaps the most underwhelming Apple Watch update we have ever gotten. The big "feature" they touted was Hypertension detection, but after the event, we found out that it is also coming to S9, S10, and Ultra 2. They also mentioned "Sleep Score," which is a watchOS 26 feature, not an S11 feature. One difference is that the S11 has a slightly bigger battery, which leads to Apple bumping up its claim of an "all-day 18-hour" battery life to 24 hours. Come to find out, they just include 6 hours of sleep tracking in that now, which they did not include before. They did add 5G to the new Apple Watch lineup; however, I don't feel as though anyone was limited by LTE speeds. I could be wrong, though. I believe this is more of a future-proofing thing for when 4G/LTE gets phased out down the line. The biggest difference I can find is the new, more durable glass, with "2x more scratch-resistant Ion-X glass than previous generation with aluminum case". But if you upgrade to the titanium version, you get sapphire, the same as the titanium S10.

If you go to the Apple Watch compare tool on the Apple website, and you put the S10 and S11 side by side, you'll be hard pressed to find any differences at all. The slightly bigger battery did lead to S11 getting barely heavier than the S10 for what it's worth.

The Ultra 3 is more compelling, as the Ultra line has not been updated since the Series 9 in 2023. There is probably enough for someone on an Ultra 1 to upgrade now, but with a hefty pricetag, I'll be keeping my Ultra 1 for a while longer.

The SE 3 improved quite a bit over the SE 2, with the best feature to finally make its way down to Apple's budget watch being the Always On Display. I would have loved to see the Series 7 chassis on it, as the Series 4 looks pretty dated now. But, for a first watch, you are getting some incredible value with the SE 3.

What do you all think? Anyone updating their watch this year?

I just bought an Apple Watch Ultra 2 last year so I’ll be waiting for a while before gating a new one.
Before I got my Ultra 1, I had the Series 4. I can see myself holding onto my Ultra for a long time as well. I do wish that I was tempted to update though.
