Music via bluetooth.

I have built in Bluetooth in my car. SIRI comes through on the bluetooth (which is cool). What is intersting is that the music does not play thorugh the BT.

I find this odd since obviuosly the connection is there as evidenced that SIRI comes through.

it all depends on the radio in the car. Most newer cars come with hands free bluetooth for phone calls but not A2DP connectivity which is what the iPhone needs to be able to send audio over bluetooth.


what kind of car and radio is it if its not stock.

I can play music via BT from my 4S to my Pioneer AVIC X920BT using the music player or loading up Pandora.

no offense intended but i sure hope you didnt pay 80 dollars for that because their are several better options that have much higher quality then audio through bluetooth.

after all bluetooth audio is sub-par even at its best.

If your car has an option for BT-audio, that must be enabled to play via bluetooth. The phone BT doesn't support it.

Yea, I certainly agree. There are actually FREE accessories like that.

Bought this one from eBay and it works like a charm, sound nice and clear through my car speakers.

Actually I did, and I tried several options that did not sound as good as did this one. If it was any less than using the AUX jack connected to my phone, I would have returned it. It sounds very good.
