Mountain Lion,no app store icon

people are reporting that they have no Mac app store icon in notifications,i havent either,is anyone else missing this?

I did not notice until just now but yes I dont either..

someone phoned Apple and apparently they cant explain it!

I am no surprised because they could not explain problems with lion where mission control and FaceTime would stick to the dock and refuse to unstick, I will look more into it and see if there is a solution if not hope that 10.8.1 has a fix
