Whenever my phone is locked and I get a message it pops up with who it's from and what the message says, how do I stop this from happening? like in settings or something? if so whereabouts in settings?

Settings,Notifications then in notification settings select messages and change settings there

I use biteSMS.

In biteSMS you can choose whether it shows the contents or not..with Banners and the lock screen popup. Once I slide to open, QuickReply pops up and I can then read the message.

BiteSMS is only for jailbroken devices tho.

Don't know if you use it or not, but if you turn the preview and show in lock screen off Siri won't be able to read back messages without unlocking.

I accidentally deleted some of my msgs, is there any way to retrieve the msgs???
Please, for future reference, if you have a question please create your own thread regarding such. Hijacking threads is not allowed per our Fourm Rules. To answer your question... if you've recently created a backup of your iDevice, w/ those messages still intact, then you can restore to that backup and have your messages back. Otherwise there is no way to recover them. There will be PAID services that claim they can recover deleted/lost data and/or information from an iDevice. However, I personally have never experienced one that has worked... nor has anyone here at iPF that I know of.

Yes...agree with JMills.

If you are Jailbroken, there is a couple tweaks specifically designed for retrieving deleted data...I have heard nothing but good reviews about them, but I have no idea that they work..never tried either of them.
