Messages count??

On my phone it shows I have 15 messages and there are no new messages, its been there for a week I have shut the phone down but when I turn it back on its still there. Any ideas?

Are you referring to Apple Messages, texts or email messages?

Do you you have Filter unknown senders switched on? You may have some unread messages from unknown senders. Also, have you tried force quitting the Messages App?

No filter and tried force quit no luck
