Major iPhone 4s problem

So, I've searched far and wide and I cannot find an answer to this issue. My phone was dropped and everything got deleted, including my Phone and Text apps. The only thing still visible is Facebook and Instagram. Every other app or button that can be clicked disappears. When I get a text, it pops up, but I can't click and get into it.

I don't know the version of IOS I have and I do not have access to itunes

If possible, try resetting your iPhone. Sometimes this helps in cases such as yours.
To reset, press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears. Let go of both, your device should power up on it's own.
This kind of reset won't remove data or change settings.

If a connection is loose because of the drop, a few slaps on the back might help.
