I would like to know if the Mail app has a way to select all the email in my inbox without selecting each one. And if so is there then a button to delete all at once?

If so, how do I do this?

Also, how to I get rid of archived mail and change a ssetting so mail is deleted rather than archived?

TIA.

To change the settings:
Go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select the account with the wrong behaviour. Go to Advanced:

And in Move Discarded Messages to, select Deleted Mailbox:

To remove every email from the Inbox in the Mail app:
Tap "Edit" at the top right:

On the next page, select the first email. Then tap and hold "Move" at the bottom:

While holding Move, deselct the first email again. Now lift your finger (from Move). This should happen:

You'll be able to select "Trash", which will move all the messages from the Inbox there.

Hope that helps.

Thanks J.A. I just bookmarked this page as it is not intuitive to me.
