Loss contact

Any can tell me why my iPhone 4 after sync , all contact loss.

I had that problem a while back. At the time I had iTunes set to sync contacts on phone with address book on MacBook, entourage on MacBook and yahoo mail contacts. Some where in that party something went awry. I stopped the sync with yahoo mail. That seemed to stop the problem. For me at least this worked.
