Looks Like Best Buy Will Be Offering the iPhone 3GS for Free On August 22

TUAW reports on an in-store Best Buy advert that was spotted by TechBuffalo, that if genuine, and there’s no reason to think that it isn’t genuine, means that on this coming Monday August 22, Best Buy will be offering the iPhone 3GS for free on a two-year contract. As TUAW notes, this is the second time that Best Buy has offered a free iPhone 3GS with a two-year contract, with the previous offer taking place last year on December 10. As TUAW also points out, the December deal was for all Best Buy stores, but the in-store ad publicising this Monday’s sale only specifies Best Buy Mobile stores, although that could simply be because the ad was seen in a Best Buy Mobile store. I can’t see the sense in restricting the offer to just those stores, so it will most likely be the whole Best Buy chain that’s involved, although we probably won't know for sure until Monday.

the thing is while having the phone free is for sure better then haying to pay as well for the iphone you end up paying full price that you would of paid for a unlocked phone with no contract after you finish paying your monthly phone bills and X amount of money to have the phone
