Hello all. On my iPhone 4S if I search for something like a store or restaurant in Safari using Google, it doesn't give me a list of local results. It gives me the option to use precise location, but when I press on that option nothing happens. It works on my iPad, and my wife's iPhone, and all the settings I can think to check are the same. Very aggravating!!

Check and see if Location Services for Safari is switched on...?

I was reading this. Just to be curious I went to look. And safari does location

Sent from my iPhone using iPF.net

Yes, location in Safari works fine if I switch over to Yahoo, it just won't work with Google in Safari on my phone. I have the Google app and that works fine too.

I was having the same issue...I just turned off Private Browsing (Settings > Safari: Privacy) and it seems to be
working again.

Yeah, I figured that out. But I have private browsing on for a couple different reasons (think X-mas shopping and unnecessary memory usage), and it works fine on the iPad with private browsing on. So I don't understand why it doesn't work on the phone (which is where the location based search would be more relevant anyway).
