Leaked Apple iPhone 7 Video is Probably a Fake

Today, a very big Apple iPhone 7 leak has been making its rounds around the web. A video which the author claims is an early prototype of an iPhone 7 shows off multiple angles of a device that does a reasonable impression of an iPhone.

Here at HQ, we suspect it is a fake though. The video is supposedly of a Foxconn employee handling the next-generation iPhone prototype. What's particularly striking about it is its obvious lack of a home button. That's actually one of the many reasons we suspect this video is a fake. Here are our observations/conclusions in a nutshell:

1. The video shoes a metallic device with an Apple logo - but (for security reasons) it is unlikely a prototype iPhone would actually have the Apple logo this early in the development stage (we do have 9 months before the launch of the device).
2. The previous clue leads into the second - it seems unlikely that Apple would actually provide a supplier with a fully built iPhone 7 prototype this far in advance of its launch date.
3. Also, this device is noticeably thicker than the iPhone 6S - considering Apple tends to go the other direction whenever possible, this is a big red flag of its potential fakery.
4. Finally, the person in the background yelling "Hey!" sounds like a terrible actor. Plus, if this is a Foxconn plant, wouldn't he be yelling in a different language than English?
