Leading Analyst Predicts Yellow and Rose Gold Apple Watch and iPad Mini Coming Soon

MacRumors reports that highly credible KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a research note containing some key predictions for Apple’s forthcoming product lines for the second half of the year.

Starting with the Apple Watch, Kuo thinks that Apple will launch an Apple Watch Sport model with new colour options to tie in with the iPhone 6s colours, with the new watch models having anodized aluminum casing in yellow and rose gold options. This supports previous rumours from Kuo and others who have all predicted that there will be a new iPhone colour and different casing type.

As far as the iPad is concerned, Kuo says that Apple is planning a thinner, lighter iPad mini that is basically a smaller version of the iPad Air 2. He thinks that it could begin shipping at the end of the quarter. iPads aren’t usually released by Apple until October, so it’s possible that shipments might not start until the fourth quarter.

As far as the iPad Air and forthcoming iPad Pro are concerned, Kuo doesn’t mention either of them.

As MacRumors notes, Kuo has a very good record as far as Apple predictions are concerned, but he has been incorrect on a very few occasions.
