Hello

I updated to OS 5 on my iphone 4 and it has not replaced any of my contacts. My contacts are still there in my messages folder, and I can still view them from the persons message. When I go to contacts they are not there.

Please help.

Many Thanks

Stephen

PS I have already tried syncing etc to itunes several times.

Pardon me, Rob.... if I don't understand. Did you "back up" after the iOS update? That would restore all your data prior to the update. Also, you say you tried synching to iTunes. Does that mean that you tried to synch to iTunes and failed, thereby not backing up your device, thereby not getting your Contacts?

Bottom line: do the backup, somehow!

I have exactly the same problem as Rob mentioned. To answer your questions EWyatt, followed all instructions for the update including backup and sync with itunes. Once the backup was restored, I got back all the apps, music and messages, but no contacts. The contact names appear in the messages field and when you click on contact through the message it takes you to the contact details on the iphone. However when you go through the 'Contacts' icon on the iphone it says there are none.

Please help.
Thanks

Hi, I am new to this forum. I have the same problem and tried to turn the contact off and on in iCloud, but still no contacts.

Any other suggestion?

Thank you.
