Itunes 64 bit

Hi everyone, I am new to forums so please bear with me. When I try to sync my IPhone and IPad with I tunes i get a message saying that I need the 64 bit version of Itunes installed on my computer.
I have uninstalled and reinstalle the 64 bit version but still the problem continues. Would appreciate any advice thay I can get

Windows 7 64 bit

Well when you go to the Apple website to download iTunes it should come up in the browser you are using 10.6.1 for windows(64-bit) right above the download now button. Am I correct?

Problem solved read previous thread from last year and that was to use Revo Uninstaller (free 30 day trial)
ensure all remnants of Apple and Apple products are removed, restart compute, install ITunes 64 bit and voila
it all syncs up nicely.
