iPhone4 4.2.1 Unlock

I am starting this thread for all of the iPhone4 users who are HOPING for an
"unlock" for their phones. PLEASE post here for any news on this unlock.

I read from the posts that you should NOT. jailbreak with the new green poison if your phone is locked

I currently have the following
iPhone 4 ,,, Jailbroken ( tethered) and CARRIER LOCKED ( useless right now
FW 4.2.1
BB 3.0.1

You can JB just preserve your current baseband using tiny umbrella.

How do you preserve baseband with tiny? Its only for saving SHSH's locally is it not? The only way I know of preserving baseband is by using a custom ipsw cooked on a mac.

You can jailbreak using the new greenpoision if you rely on unlock. You need to do a fresh restore for it to work which means updating your baseband unless you preserve it.

I think you can also just run greenpoision if your already on the redsnow tethered jailbreak. Not sure though...

Thank u guys for the info on greenpois0n,,,,,,,but.......... Right now I would just like, need, HAVE TO HAVE the UNLOCK!!!!!!!!

If not for all the trouble in Egypt,,,,,,,,, Sherif might have had one coming, but it is bad there now and it may be awhile,,,,,,, that was the last I read on Twitter.

Does anyone know anything else??????
