iPhone won't restore with iTunes.

A few days ago my phone died on me, I was just getting the apple sign.

So I put it into recovery mode and tried to restore it with iTunes. I was getting all different sorts of error codes come up and I'm now at the point where it won't even go into recovery mode and won't even give me the option to restore with iTunes.

Does anyone have any insight into this that could help me or know if Apple would replace it, even if it's with a refurbished one, I just need a reliable phone.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've just given it another go. It lets me put it into recovery mode now and restore with iTunes. I still get an unknown error coming up about half way through but this time it's error 14.

You are not alone, and i have met the same problem. I download IOS5 in just 25 minutes but it spend me a lot time to backup. When it finished at last, iTunes start restoring my iPhone, but gave me the "The iPhone *** could not be restored. An internal error occurred". ???

Didn't try a DFU restore, and shift+restore to the 5.1 IPSW?
