Iphone starting saying it couldnt charge with device

One day I put my phone on the docking station to listen to music through the powered speakers and got a message that the device wasn't supported. Speakers and charging doesnt work on it. Any idea why this started after months if use with the same docking station?

My son's iPhone 4 works fine on it. My phone charges fine with other docking stations.
