iphone sos needs to cool down?

weird, i just tried to use my phone and im at a lock screen with a yellow triangle with a emergency SOS iphone needs to cool down text. what is this?

Means your phones too hot. It can happen if you leave your phone on charge when you on the phone or ou lave the screen on for a long time. If it persists contact apple...

i noticed several people report this happening within the first week or so of ownership....happened to me once on the first day

but the weird thing is, my phone wasnt charging or the screen wasnt even on. i had my screen on for hours once and never had a problem. i just recieved a regular text today, turned on my phoen to check and bam there was the screen.

i restarted the phone and it went back to normal. i just thought it was weird. have i actually left the screen on or battery cahrging and what not, the message makes sense. but it wasnt, so thought it was weird.

anyways thanks. i hope i never have this problem ever again.

Apple will swap it out for a new one. Especially if it happens for no reason.
