Hi there,

I'm using an IPhone SE and at the moment I dont hear a sound from the speaker when I'm watching a video in YouTube or Facebook. When I plug in the headphones the sound is fine.

Strange thing for me is when I call my IPhone from another phone and no headphones are plugged in the speaker works and I hear it ring.

I thought it might be app specific settings but I cannot find them.
The phone is not muted and volume is on maximum.

Anyone got a hint for me?

Cheers

Welcome to iPhone Forums, SonOfOdin!

Did you also check the volume in Control Centre? Swipe up from the bottom. In iOS 10, there’s a slider. Make sure it’s not completely at the left.
If your iPhone is up to date (iOS 11), this will look different.

Make sure the bar is partially white. To increase the volume, slide upwards.

It’s also possible that there’s some lint/dirt in your headphone jack. Use a flashlight to check this. If you find something, remove it cautiously.
If there’s nothing, try plugging and unplugging your earphones a few times.

Hope that helps.

And the volume levels are different for headphones and speaker, adjust one and the other is unaffected. While the headphones are out play some music and adjust the volume for the speaker.

Have you checked the Mute button located on the side of the phone above the volumne buttons? If you can see red, it's on. Toggle it off.

When the OP can hear the phone ringing, the Mute button is not enabled.
