The purported September 10 event, where Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 5S, is drawing closer and closer. In anticipation of the release, some extra details have surfaced, adding some fresh information about the specs of the next generation iPhone.

The news comes via Clayton Morris of Fox News. This Sunday, he tweeted that he holds insider information according to which, the iPhone 5S will be powered not by the A6 chip but the A7. The new chip is going to bestow superior power to the iPhone 5S, making it work faster with 31% than the A6, which powers the current iPhone 5 model.

He later posted a follow up tweet in which he added that the iPhone 5S could also come bearing a motion tracking chip, which will allow users to take better pictures. A previous report posted by MacRumors claimed that Apple is looking to implement a new system that will allow for gestures to be tracked like in the Samsung’s Galaxy S IV.

A profile done by Bloomberg of Apple’s Senior vice president of design Jony Ive seems to indicate the motion detection sensors could be used for something more than enhancing camera features.

“Longer term, Ive also has shown interest in altering how people control their computers. He has met with makers of gesture technology that lets people navigate their gadgets by moving their hands – without touching the screen, said a personal familiar with those interactions.”

The rumors all seem to agree that the iPhone 5S will come sporting a dual-LED flash camera with larger F2.0 aperture and the ability to capture 120 frames per second. In other words. a real delight for photography lovers.
