iPhone 4S warms up when using NavFree UK&ROI GPS

Dear All,
When I use NavFree (UK & ROI) GPS my iPhone 4S warms up quite a bit. Is it normal or there is a fault with the phone? The battery drains out also quite quickly, more than 30% of the charge within 1 hour.

many will say do a hard reset. and if that doesnt solve the battery drainage.. hopefully you can exchange it.

And no, it doesn't void any warranty, it's a feature Apple has given to us to use.

My GPS app puts the most load on my battery of anything else on the phone. It's proven by the fact that you lose so much of the charge per hour. I think you'll find it's normal for the battery to get quite warm when this happens. I nearly always use a charger when using my navigation app.
