iphone 4s replacement from apple

Has anyone used the postal replacement facility? I have asked for my 4s to be replaced due to frequent problems with apps shutting down and calls dropping. I was told that it would take up to 10 days for replacement to arrive!
Has anyone in the UK used this facility?
And they also mentioned that the phone should not be damaged. does this include very small scratches and chips?

It'll take weeks actually, and that's in the US.

i would think if Apple told you a replacement will take up to 10 days then that will be the case,did they ask you any questions concerning minor blemishes?

No they didn't ask about minor blemishes.
They asked whether the phone was damaged.

Ive posted the phone back to them this morning.
Hope it comes back soon.

i'm pretty sure minor blemishes won't count as damage,they will expect a certain amount of wear and tear from everyday use,hope your replacement doesn't take long.
