iPhone 4S owner since April 2012

I have an iPhone 4S since April 2012. Since this is my first smartphone, I am looking for advice and tips regarding
the iPhone. I have also encountered problems with WIFI and battery drainage especially after installing updates.
Therefore, I am a bit hesitant to install updates. I would appreciate any help regarding these issues.

Welcome! My husband also had those issues. We went back to our local apple store and they replaced the phone. It happened 3 times. He is on 4S # 4!!
