My wife was the happiest kid in the house at Christmas, with a new iPhone 4S (unlocked) under the tree. Ever since the original boot up, the text message ringer has been completely hyperactive. When an incoming text hits, the ring continues at a high rate of speed for 10 seconds or more, leaving her standing there embarrassed, hoping it will shut-up! While there is a bit of satisfaction in seeing a glitch in the newest iPhone in the house, I'd like to fix it if possible.
The problem persists with any of the text ring tones. :messages:
Would a standard firmware update likely fix the problem?
Is there a way to force a deinstall/reinstall of the sound software?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
