Hi, Just got back from the Genius Bar. What a disappointment. I was expecting to have the focus of one tecnician to trouble shoot the phone. Well I had one tech and he had 5 other ccustomers he was trying to help at the same time gathered around a table in the middle of the sales floor. Not what I expected. The extent of the troubleshooting was to plug in the phone to a couple of different ipads to do a restore and it did the same thing there, apple logo and non moving status bar. After a 20 mile drive it was not worth the effort.
Thanks to your help, I did much more in the way of troubleshooting. Bottom line he told me the hard drive had probably failed and offered to replace the device for $199.00.
Once again thank for your help.
I may change carriers and get a 5S tomorrow.
Switched to Sprint and picked up a 5S 32gb for under 100.00 after trade in.
