Iphone 4 wouldn't turn on

Today i went to wake up my phone and it wouldn't wake up i had to do a hard reset by holding the sleep/wake button and home button to get it to wake up any ideas why this happened?

Well we all know your not jailbroken. It's nothing a factory restore couldn't fix though. !

I don't think I'd go down that road unless your phone does it again.

If i do a factory restore wouldn't itunes restore all my info back onto the phone?

Yes. Just do a backup first. Your firmware could be corrupt and that's what's causing your random shut offs. A factory restore would solve that issue.

Thanks just did the restore and everything went well thank god. It even put everything back exactly the way it was thanks again darkstar.
