iPhone 4(GSM) 6.0.1 won't jailbreak

Hi all,

So here is the deal;
What I did to jailbreak my iPhone 4:

1: Recovered my whole iPhone 4 to iOS 6.0.1 as new with iTunes 10.7
2: Downloaded Redsn0w 0.9.15b3, ran it as administrator.
3: Selected the iOS 6.0 -> Jailbreak -> DFU Mode -> made sure Cydia is selected, I see the icon that it is downloading files & then some command lines....
4: After about 10 minutes the phone restarts, I shut the phone off
5: Restarted Redsn0w as Admin, chose iOS 6.0 again -> JUST BOOT -> DFU MODE.
6: I see the pineapple logo, after about 10 min. I see the Apple logo and then the phone boots.
7: NO CYDIA?

In this whole process Redsn0W does not say: Exploit failed or "Missing p.keylist". Redsn0w just says: "Done!"

I also tried this whole process with RedSn0w 0.9.15b2
I tried running it with compatibly mode XP SP3

Additional information: iPhone 4 (GSM), Model: MC605DN
Windows 7 SP1, x64, logged in as administrator
Using Microsoft Security Essentials as Anti-Virus, no pop-ups during this process.
Cable is official, connected to USB 2.0, tried diffrent USB ports.

I think the phone is jailbroken but just won't boot tethered.
How can I fix this?

Run "Just Boot" again...?

If you look at point 5 again you'll see that I have done that.

5: Restarted Redsn0w as Admin, chose iOS 6.0 again -> JUST BOOT -> DFU MODE.

I have also done that several times, with Redsn0w 0.9.15b2 and 0.9.15b3
I did select iOS 6.0 as ISPW to use.

Still no cydia.

Did you select the IPSW before you pressed jailbreak? That's the most important part that most users forget. It's not listed in the procedures in most tutorials but it does help believe or not

Look mate, I'm not a 'stupid user', I executed the steps the right way, "believe or not".
I did select the iOS 6 before I tried to jailbreak my iPhone, it is listed in my procedure in the description.

3: Selected the iOS 6.0 -> Jailbreak -> DFU Mode -> made sure Cydia is selected, I see the icon that it is downloading files & then some command lines....

I still do not have an answer.

good luck , hope you figure it out

Egh,, finally found the problem.
I used this iOS to jailbreak: iPhone3,2_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw
But the one that I had to use was: iPhone3,1_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw

Unfortunally nobody could tell me this or was it noted on the jailbreaking websites.
Well, you can close this thread, as my problem is solved.

Well I was going to point that out in the link below "believe it or not", but since you're not (and I quote)

a 'stupid user'

I'd assume you'd be able to tell the difference between iPhone3,1 and iPhone 3,2 and to tell whether or not your device is an iPhone3,1 or a 3,2 no?

I've been trying to figure out what I've been doing wrong for days now. I overlooked this same thing. Thank you for figuring it out, @kevinr1!

Also, @willerz2, you might be a senior user, but you are not helpful.
