iPhone 4 doesn't see vodafone sim after unlocking

Hi, this is my first forum so i may not be doing it correctly but i could do with some advice.
I have just jailbreaked and unlocked a new iphone 4 but although everything else seems to work ok, it does not recognise my vodafone sim. (using Cydia)
The modem firmware version is 04.10.01. - could this be the problem, if not any suggestions please??

What did you use, or how did you 'unlock' the phone?

it sounds like you have just jailbroken and not unlocked.. ultrasn0w is what is used to unlock but currently it does not support that baseband, you know vodafone do unlock it for you you dont need to rely on unlock tools
