iPhone 4 color conversion question.

I have a white 4 but I've seen some where the metal rim on the outside and home button are a different color. Where can you get these or how can you do this? I'd like to get red at least for the rim of mine. Is it possible to take it apart and paint it? Any info will help, thanks!

Yes it's possible to take it apart not sure why you would do so bc that mod will completely void your warranty. I wouldn't suggest it. I don't think you could paint it either. Well it wouldn't look right, you'd be better off with a red magic marker 

why not just go and buy a colored cover for it and call it a day?
