hi, i was given a iphone 3gs from a family member, but when i put my sim card in, it would once or twice get signal throughout the day, but only last a few minutes, so i thought it was unlikely but thought maybe it was a network locked issue. so i jailbroke it, ask this is suposed to unlock it. after i did it, the iphone didnt behave any differently in terms of signal, so i kind of gave up on it and just used it for games and apps. then one day i picked it up and it was displaying the "connect to itunes" logo
i tried holding power and home until it reset itself but, it just returned back to the same screen. i have tried restoring it through itunes but comes up with error message, and when i try updating it, itunes says its not eligible for an upgrade, or something along those lines.
does anybody have any idea what to do?
