I've enabled the LED Alerts option in accessibility but it isn't working.

Nah can't get it working either, it's the only thing that I can find wrong so far

iMessage is integrated into messages. So basically you won't know it's there unless you send a message to another iOS 5 user...can't help you with the led thing I haven't even looked for it.
