I have an iPhone 14 currently running Version 17.6.1. I don't want to update to iOS 26.1, I'm not interested in anything AI related on my device. What are my options? I realize there is already AI in some of my apps but I would like to minimize my exposure to it.
TIA

Make sure Automatic Updates is turned off in Settings.

Apart from that, limiting your exposure to AI is down to you. For example, when you realize that a YouTube video has an annoying AI voiceover, back out of it and select “Do not recommend this channel”.

Ignoring the AI blurb generated by searches becomes second nature after a while, as does ignoring the “summary” generated by Amazon every time you check customer reactions to products.

Thanks for the question. I hadn’t realized how I’ve been avoiding this unwelcome intrusion. I run iOS 26 and haven’t noticed anything untoward in day to day use.

Thanks for you reply, my automatic updates has been off since I got the phone. I don't like not making my own decisions without research. AI is here to stay I guess, but I don't have to like it or use it.
