It seems like concepts for next generation products and software like to start appearing as soon as possible. Although iOS 7 was just recently released to the public, the majority of us have seen it, and to iOS fans, it's old news.
Designer Sangam Bhandari brings something new to the table with his new iOS 8 concept. Bhandari's concept shows a reworked Home Screen that doesn't just show a grid of app icons. This iOS 8 concept basically brings a giant widget of functions for the first page of the operating system. The widget includes a clock/alarm clock function, current weather, Control Center functions and a row of app icons.
The app icons are probably the most interesting part of the concept, including the most used applications in iOS. These app icons can be tapped to make a pop-down window appear, showing users their most recent emails, messages, calls, etc., which seems like it would work flawlessly. While this widget is a lot to handle, it does keep true to the minimal look of iOS 7.
We think that widgets are somewhere in Apple's future, although the company doesn't want to admit it, a lot of fans are waiting for them. Widgets seem to work well for Android devices, other than slowing them down, we think the company could think of a way to make them speedy with those A7+ processors.
So what do you think of the concept? Let us know down below.
