There is no video zoom feature built into the standard photo app.

You can take stills while recording video with the stock camera app. All you have to do while recording video is to tap the camera icon at the top right corner of the screen! you'll have your still shot without interrupting the video. You can do this as often as you want while recording.

No, we can't zoom while recording video in iPhone native camera app. But
I suggest to use a “Movie pro” video recording app. That application is
allows us to zoom while recording video...

I dont really want to know what the video will look like if using the zoom. First of all the quality will go down a lot and also it will be very wobbly and unstable... but give it a go
