i think im screwed.. please help

I have my home phone from the us and using it in the uk....I got my phone unlocked over here so I could use it...and it crashed so i was told to update it and when i did i lost the unlock/ jailbreak. I went and did the green pois0n and now i dont know if its unlockable now...it only said dont do if you are using iphone 4....im using 3gs....i thought i was good but now im running 05.15.04 firmware....anyway i can get this to work again?...thanks so much for any help!!!!

You can't unlock that baseband but you can upgrade your 3GS to an iPad baseband using redsn0w and unlock that one. There are issues with gps using the iPad baseband on the 3GS but it's your only option...
