Hi all,

New here, and I'm sure this has been asked 1million times but I'm stuck.

I have an iphone 4 on the latest ios, and it's locked to vodafone it seems.

I have a 3 microsim I want to use. So I've jailbroken the iphone, and that didn't do anything so I downloaded Evasion and it didn't seem to do anything.

I then looked and a website said make a fake APN using unlockit.co.nz

So I did that, still no joy.

Everytime it I put my 3 sim card in it says "activation required" and that the sim card isn't one used by the carrier please insert one blah blah blah

Any help appreciated

Cheers

What Baseband is your iPhone 4 on? Go into Settings>General>About.. the x.xx.xx # next to "Modem Firmware."

You cannot unlock an iPhone just by Jailbreaking. Some Basebands can be unlocked via ultrasnOw from Cydia after Jailbreaking. Your BB is not one of them. Only two options for yours....

1. Requesting an unlock from the original wireless provider
2. Purchase an IEMI unlock from the Internet somewhere. Where? We don't discuss or provide assistance w/ the acquisition of paid unlocks.... unless they're from a wireless provider.
